At the heart of the company is a sizeable in-house managerial team with vast experience and skill, most of whom have been with the company for many years. This team is organised into three departments.
Commercial
The commercial department is crucially involved early on each project from estimation to handover. Our quantity surveying team’s meticulous management and procurement capabilities ensure that we meet each project’s bespoke programme and cost plan, whilst maintaining key relationships with our high quality sub-contractors.
Design
Our design department of qualified architects transform bold concepts into buildable realities. The design team works alongside the client team to coordinate all pre-construction and construction information, detailing, samples and finishes to ensure the construction phase runs as smoothly as possible – creating both beautiful and compliant spaces.
Operations
The operations department has deep construction expertise and precise project management skills that deliver beyond client expectations. Our team’s broad experience enables Mayer to transition between luxury prime development, commercial development and private client personal projects. We tailor the team depending on the type of each project.
The managerial team is supported by a large network of gifted sub-contractors and craftsmen. World-class joiners, metal workers, plumbers, mechanical and electrical experts: the best of the best. We select a tailored team for each project, depending on the specific requirements. We have established relationships with a network of favoured sub-contractors.
We do difficult things supremely well.
On each project our teams work together to mitigate risks and achieve precision delivery. First we establish key project risks and work out how to mitigate them. During installation the site team implement quality control procedures and conduct meticulous inspections at the key stages of design review, first fix and final finish. This makes the commissioning and snagging phases as stress-free as possible. Post construction, as a team we capture lessons learned from each project and refine our process to improve our delivery.
The functional performance of the buildings we work on is highly complex, with mechanical systems interweaving electrical cables, public health pipework and AV and security systems. Coordinating and installing MEP and utilities can pose some of the biggest risks during build, and we take a carefully considered approach to minimise these risks. Nothing is left to chance.
